Each of my Totems are thoughtfully crafted from fir or western cedar—never pressure-treated wood, as paint won’t adhere properly to treated surfaces. I prime every piece with a high-quality exterior bonding primer, then paint using professional-grade exterior mural paint. To protect against fading and the elements, each Totem is finished with three coats of UV-resistant marine varnish for lasting vibrancy and durability.
Easy Installation
Each Totem comes with mounting hardware:
- A re-bar stake is included—drive it into the ground, leaving 10–12" exposed.
- The Totem base is drilled 12" deep to slide securely over the re-bar.
- Adjust by gently pushing or pulling to get it plumb (or tilt it for a playful accent!).
Tools needed: a heavy hammer and a level (optional, but helpful).

To extend the life and brilliance of your Totem:
- Place it in a shaded area to reduce sun exposure.
- Store indoors during winter months, when sunlight is most intense. Especially if you won't be seeing and enjoying it in the off season.
- Reapply marine varnish every couple of years to keep colors vivid for many seasons to come.

Natural Features:
These Totems are made from real wood, and natural features like knots or grain variations may be visible. I do my best to minimize these, but I believe they add character and uniqueness to each piece.

My Totems are hand made to order. While I try to keep an inventory in stock, I sometimes need to fabricate and paint them to fill an order. for this reason I have my shipping times set to 6-8 weeks. Please feel to reach out to me if you need a specific ship date and I will do what I can to accommodate you.
Please note: I ship only within the Contiguous United States. If you're in Alaska or Hawaii, message me for a shipping quote before placing your order. Orders from AK or HI without prior shipping arrangements will be canceled and refunded.
